Is there anywhere you can lookup the value of peoples estates when they die?
You occasionally get in the paper that so and so left xxxx, is this info publicly available for everyone?

Only if it went through probate....and theres no composition breakdown. (the Will is public record as well - IF it went through probate)
should add - it wouldnt be exact....for example it will say gross value no more than X and net value no more than Y
