IMHO looks like the bike was speeding. Why don’t bikes, Think Car! Should have seen some numptie was about to pull out on him and approached with caution.

Works both ways!

Lets not get into any debates. I posted this as an awareness thing for all motor vehicle drivers including bikers. The Think campaign clips have tended to be questionable is the past. Dont analyse them too much just take on board what they are TRYING to get across.

Is it only me who covers the brakes and slows down when I see a car waiting at junctions?

How many time have I been going down a fast road straight to see a car waiting at a junction - no traffic behind me, the driver looks at me the goes anyway? Then when they do go they potter around doing 0-30mph in about 20 seconds

You see - experience dictates that you cannot rely on the other driver seeing you - even if you have right of way. That mindset is a life saver for a biker.

When I used to do a daily 30mile Telford run, it was a daily occurance to have cotton buds in a Metro pull out in front of me. It became a runing joke with the lads - As evertime I was late, it was due to a metro or micra doing 30-40mph in the 60mph limit, more often than not they always pulled out infront of me when there was no traffic behind me

Have to admit that most of the awareness / Think campains are a bit questionable, but and its a big but,
they do get people talking, and as they are aimed at the general numpties who many of them I feel clearly shouldn't be driving, then they are a good thing and if it helps to improve road safety then its a good thing.

I know exactly what you mean about covering the brake when seeing cars at junctions, lost count of times dodering doris or can't see colin has pulled out of a junction in front of me in a NSL and then carried on at 30 !

When you are pulling out of a junction, get your cameraman to lean a bit further forward, so the speeding biker isn't obscured by your ugly face!!!!

Think!
Otherwise a reasonable public information film.
