Angry Dixons....grrrrrrrrr!

Popped in today for a couple of leads, 3.5mm stereo jack to twiin RCA plugs, as the lads both wanted one each to play stuff stored on their MP3 players through their stereos.

I already have one, a JVC, bought from Dixons for £5.99 about a year ago, I use it to play stuff off a portable minidisc player.

Imagine my shock when the Dixons guy tells me they no longer stock JVC, but some other make, (I forget what), because it's better...........and the price? £14.99

I went up the road and bought TWO for £7.98 at a local hi-fi type shop, Vivanco make.

Dixons really are robbers.

I found one in my cupboard.

The cable caught the attention of my bird and mate who then wanted one. I gave the lead to my GF and told my friend that he could probably pick one up from an electrical shop.

Cost him £12.00!!!!!!! From Currys I think.

Funny thing is his stereo which was an xmas present doesn't have an auxillary output. He can't return it either as the packaging needed to be cut open.

Also worth trying is http://www.cutpricecables.co.uk/ - I bought a high quality s-video cable from them for £4.99 last week (against £20 or so from Dixons and the like).
