Anyone written a book?
I reckon I have one in me, probably not a best seller, probably no bloody good at all actually 
but sometimes I think I could write one.

I've been trying to write a book for years! Have chapters of a novel all over the place, but never confident that it's worth committing to, and struggle to get plots and twists that I would enjoy reading! However, some of the novels and scripts I have read over the years are so simple and basic, I really should give it a proper shot!!
If you look on amazon for writing guides, it seems penning one of these would be the best way into published work, there are thousands of 'em!
I'm currently contemplating starting a guide / travel book.

I have a friend who I could write about .... with a bit of flowering up it could be compelling reading. The second half of his life I would have to make up, but if it flows it flows.
Maybe I will put a few things down and see how it feels.

A friend of mine was an IT recruiter, went off to Spain for a year to write a book. Came back and got it published:
