No doubt a day of mourning will be announced, councelling arranged for those affected by the tradgedy, and the whales family will be seeking compo from those involved.
Billy Liar will launch a full scale enquiry as to why the whale swam up the thames and why the emergency services took so long to resque it. Naturally the blame will lie with some expendable person, who will be harranged by the media until they do somthing drastic.
New measures will be introduced to prevent it happening again, with a thames wales coordinater appointed at £1000,000 pa.
Billy was reported to have said, "i really feel for the whale, and measures must be put into place, to prevent this tradgedy from happening again. Unfortuantly these measures cost money, but we must invest heavily to ensure that we become a world class whales rescuer"
figures were unavailable, but its expected that a programme of investment lasting 7 years will see significant leaps in whale rescue, this will add approximatly 1pence onto the level of income tax
A team of top laywers is meeting with the remaining members of the whales pod, amid rumours of a compensation claim against the owners of the river thames.
A source told us, Mrs Whale was deeply distressed, and wanted to know why this tradgedy happened. There should have been signs in place to say it was a river, and not the north atlantic, there should have been a tunnell so he could get to the other side.
the river thames refused to comment, saying it was in the hands of his lawyers.
LOL

Very sad, watched it on the news when they were putting it on the barge and taking it down river. Did think for a while it was going to work. Soon as they said it was deteriorating though thought thats it
Just heard that apparently it had a series of convulsions which killed it, maybe caused by the stress or maybe from a serious illness that caused it to go up the river in the first place.
Paulr its news because the general public showed a lot of interest in it and wanted to know about it, therefore that makes it news And to answer your stupid question me and apparently also a hell of a lot of other people gave a rats ar$e

Stuff dies every day in the sea, bit sad that it croaked on its one trip to London but, dont go mad with the national outpouring of grief as Elton John will pen another song.
To the tune of candle in the wind/Englands Rose,
Goodbye Bottle Nose......

Like I said, media circus. Plenty of whales and other animals, endangered and non endangered, die everyday naturally or by human intervention, and unless you work or donate to the WWF or similar, this will be forgotten in a few weeks time. Unless of course the government decides to commission a statue and puts it on the empty plinth in Trafalgar and hold a 2 minute silence of rememberence
