Rave review, Illegal M25 warehouse rave last night!
I received information that an illegal rave was going to go off and for once it was very near to where I lived. In fact it was all of 10 minutes away. As I have driven for anything up to 3 hours to get to an illegal in the past then this was an opportunity not to be missed.
Getting to an industrial estate just off the M25 and finding a lot of cars parked and lots of herberts in hoodies hanging about is usually a good sign. Getting inside was easy enough with a 2 pound donation getting you a green star drawn on your hand and 1 pound getting you a bottle of water out the back of a transit van who generously served me in between inflating 100's upon 100's of nitrous baloons.
As well as that, the warehouse was just as accomodating with the main room being about the size of the third arena at Bagleys. As well as that a couple 100 party crew patiently waiting in front of the stack for it to get going. This was looking good.
Soon after the stack was powered up and the glorious techno was soon being pumped out. Took about 45 minutes to get going properly, but as soon as it was fully operational, the main lights went out and I started getting into the music.
Blurring the boundaries between techno, Hardstyle and gabba, the unknown DJ kept the BPMs a little downpace from what I personally liked, but the crowd were loving it and the atmosphere was sky high in no time at all.
It was shortly after the lights came out that I realised that something was lacking, the music was all there, but there was no lighting of anykind. I then had a brainwave and shot out of the rave and headed to my motor.
20 minutes later I got back into the rave, clutching my laser, a spare set of batteries and a cabletie. I cabletied the laser to the DJ stand and let it do its business above the stack, only stopping to change batteries at about 4am.
The crowd were a strange one, they didnt stay put for long at all. one minute there were 200 or so people in front of the stack, the next there were barely fifty. The ravers danced until something else took their fancy and then moved on. They came back when they wanted more. Although when there were loads of people in front of it, the techno mosh pits were more than forthcoming. Good fun too.
In the end I dusted about 5am, when I finally started to feel a bit tired from this and Bangface the night before. However, it was a damn good rave, one which fed my need for doing a dirty warehouse party everyonce in a while.
Right, pictures!
only took a few, ran out of memory on my phone, but here they are anyways.
I also have a video clip as well, I'm on putfile as we speak, getting it up. I will post when its there.
Cheers,

That was when the rig was being set up, so the main lights were still on so they could see what they were doing.
I took advantage of the chance and took a few pictures whilst it was possible.
Once the rig was fully set up, the lights went out and the volume went up.
