Do we have any CIGAR connoisseurs ?
As a thank you to a friend of mine I'd like to buy him a box of cigars as I know he enjoys them greatly.
As a non-smoker I really wouldn't know what type to get him.
Can anynone recommend something and where to get them ?
Thanks in advance!

erhem, let me rephrase...
I don't wish to purchase the oldest cigars known to mankind, I want to splash say £50 and pick some up locally. Its only a small favour I want to repay - its not like he gave me one of his kidneys.

Where do you live? No doubt there is a tobacco shop (tobacconist) that specialises in tobacco and tobacco related products near you.

cant beat monte cristos IMHO.
Beware of buying a dusty packet stuffed on a long forgotten shelf in your local newsagents as they will be stale, dry and horrible to smoke.
make sure they are either very fresh or out of a proper humidor in a good tobacconists
