Has Anyone on Here Been to Morocco ?
We're thinking of booking a holiday to Morocco tomorrow - found a lovely hotel in Agadir (Iberostar Founty Beach) all inclusive @ less than £400 per person in April.
Just wondered if anyone has been to Agadir ? Would you reccomend it or not ? Things to do / not to do ?
Many thanks
Matt

weirdly we were looking at exactly the same place today
Looks pretty good as you say.
I can tell you that we have just come back from another Iberostar in the caribbean and it was the best hotel, by miles, that we have ever stayed in Go for it!
edit to say - have you checked out www.tripadvisor.com (i think) for hotel reports?

My Aunty and Uncle were hoteliers in Tangiers (at 2 hotels ) they've also got an apartment there.
I pretty much spent most of my childhood holidays there. I LOVE IT!!!
Agadir's right down SARF though, otherwise I'd recommend some places to go....

I had two weeks in Agadir with some mates. Generally it was pretty good. The beach is ace. The touristy bit of the town is nice enough. Just need to watch out for people trying to flog you stuff all the time. Gets a bit annoying when you trying to relax on the beach though you can pay for a sunbed and they're generally patrolled to keep the hawkers at bay. If you're not interested in whatever they're selling then don't show an interest, once you do it's pretty much considered a done deal after the price has been argued over for half an hour. They won't take no for an answer
Be careful if heading into the old town after dark, we nearly got mugged.
Ignore the "offical" guides in the souks (markets) as they are just on commision with specific stall owners, once drawn in for the spiel and mint tea they won't let you leave until money has changed hands
Plenty of other nice places to go on excursions to. The reps don't generally recommend hire cars but we did have one for a few days to get around a bit without any major problems. Watch out for stray camels running across the road though
Oh and the local herbal products are quite pleasent
All in all a top holiday

Got back Saturday morning - all in all not a bad holiday, but the weather was crap. Only two and a half days of decent weather. They hadn't had rain since January ; we managed to get two days of it
Hotel made up for it though. Genuinely really nice people
