I grew up around Nottingham (in Cotgrave, then had my own house in Beeston) but moved down south about 5 years ago.

Now considering moving back, and wondered if Nottingham had changed much over the last five years?

Presume the shootings are still restricted to the St Anns area, and they haven't spread to the rest of the city yet?

Probably looking to move to the same end of town - maybe West Bridgford or even Cotgrave or the villages around there, so if any of them have become no go areas, please let me know!!!

Still appears to be St Annes, Hyson Green, Forest Fields that are the main problem areas, normally gang / drug related.

I was thinking the same about Liverpool!!

Shootings are all hype, not heard of one for a while, St Annes is not as rough as people make out, I walk through there regularly after a night on the town and have never been bothered by anyone let alone shot at!!

Bridgford is still Posh

 

It's got some of the highest gun related crime in the country.

It's got that bad that the hospital now has one of the only
gunshot specialist units in the country.

Isn't it also in the "top" ten percent for muggings, street crime, robbery, burglary, rape and assault?

But hey, they've got LOTS of different types of speed cameras, red light cameras, and even wanted to trial the new tailgating camera we were promised, so their crime figures look OK.

i lived in nottingham for around ten years. Its just like anyother big city, you get your good and bad parts. the reason for these shootings is because of all the gangs who are involved in drugs. these shootings dont happen everyday and are in certain small city centre areas. Most of nottingham is a quite place and good to live in.
