Dog / puppy training......
Seems a lot of people will have experience with training puppies. I had a golden retriever as a puppy when i was in my teens and he turned out okay. But I've just got two rottweiler puppies and it's a lot harder to do with a pair of 'em!
I'll obviously be taking them to shcool when they've had their shots, but anyone have any advice or tips please?
They're 8 weeks old and got them wearing collars, responding to their names and whistles, sitting and staying briefly!
Cheers!

Seems like you're doing really well so far!!
Pairs of puppies (oo'er!) are always more difficult due to them being able to "gang up" on you!!!
I've got a 7month old black Lab dog - he's not doing too bad. Fully house-trained. Will sit/respond to his name. Will also walk on the lead/collar, but will always pull (even with a choke)
Getting better, but it takes time

Remember to praise them when they are doing good things then they learn that they get attention when been good.
For pulling on the lead, i used a short lead and a walking stick, and everytime the dog tried to pull, i said no and put a walking stick in front of her, they dont like obstacles and persistance soon pays off (plus the stick is handy to warn off vicious roaming dogs by waving it in front of them)

hadn't thought of the stick thing!!!
I think it's moreso the competition thing between him and my Cocker Spaniel.....
So I'm trying to walk them seperately at the moment!

ps forgot to add - PRAISE & reward is the best thing for training. Negative stuff might make you feel better, but it just confuses the dog.
