Default Any views/opinions on this pool table??

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Deluxe-7ft-x-4...QQcmdZViewItem

Been looking for a table for a while now, but no expert on good/bad makes & models - is this one any good ?
Its going to be used a fair bit for recreation, so is the lack of slate bed an issue, or should I be aiming to get a slate bed regardless ??

Cheers

R.

Mickey mouse table, if it aint slate don't touch it, simple rule.

You really want to buy a full size 9ft table and play 9 ball, but if you insist on poofs pool

Try somebody like -

ATA - 01283 567000

Data Leisure Sales - 01706 883838

Herondata - 01642 613844

Simply Pool - 0161 6264333

Superleague - 0800 7836766

For the price it isnt bad - but with this sort of thing you really need to try it, you can tell a decent pool/snooker table from the cloth used and whats under it (as already mentioned slate is what to look for - but this can cost), you need to see what the ball runs like on the cloth and how responsive and hard wearing the cushions are. They are selling those tabled for around £300 buy it now which is very cheap for a 7ft table, you pays your money at the end of the day. I guess is does depend on what you are using it for and how much space you have.
Good luck

It's garbage, ok for the kids in the garage for £100 tops.

Slate isn't just for the playing surface, it also adds weight to the frame and structure to keep the table firmly planted.

I suppose it depends on exactly what you want the table for, I'd rather buy an old pub Hazelgrove table for £300 if I had to have a 7ft table.
