New Super King Size Bed Needed
I need a new super king size bed (6ft wide?) anyone know the makes to buy or avoid? How much do i need to spend to get something semi-decent?
Do Costco and Makro still do beds (have not been for ages).
How about "Dreams" or similar?

We bought a nice gunmetal frame king (5ft) from Dreams. Lovely bed but we got pissed around big time on delivery. Were told 1 week and ended up being nearer 3 months. Not once did they call us back - always had to chase them. If we didnt like the bed so much or could have found a nicer one we wouldnt have bothered.
Allders do some nice beds if a little steep but usually a lot off in the sales. Tbh when we looked there werent many places other than Dreams that sold lots of beds. Bensons had a poor selection.
Simon.

Get yourself down to Ikea fella...
Mine is a "MALM" £100 odd quid and 180cm x 200cm.
Plenty of styles

DREAMS are local to me - I think they were on Watchdog a few weeks back.. something to do with delays in delivering, or the wrong beds turning up time after time..
But if you arent too fussed about timescales etc, I noticed they have a sale on atm

The trouble is with the Ikea 6' beds are they arent a standard uk size for a replacement matteress in the future and bedding can be diffilcult to buy as its slightly larger then normal
I retail beds and my best selling 6' has 4 drawers 6 wide decent manufactuer and is £395 although you can spend up to 2k on a bed
for your local branch try http://www.dp-fx.com/
It will probably get edited now for un authorised advertsing :

Is DP furniture express Durham Pine? Didn't they go bust a month or so back?

Yep, thought so, they seem to be still trading though?

go and spend a large amount of money on a tempur mattress. Get the tempur bed if needs be, but don't go without the mattress. Couldn't be without it now. Going to sleep feels like a hug

Thanks for the replies so far, Just been advised Dreams are about about to go Bankrupt by a friend in the furniture business, apparently they have forcibly extended there credit terms from 14 to 30 to 60 and now 90 days, all there shop rents should kick in with in the next couple of months as most of them are on first year free or similar. I will be steering clear of them
Is the Ikea stuff ok? I thought everything they made was crap? If they are slightly different size than normal cant you just use normal unfitted sheets? rather than the elasticated things?
lordharding what make is the decent bed for £395? Sounds too cheap to me, can you really get something good for that money or would I be throwing the money away?
