I bought some burgers in summer and put them in the freezer, but it has just occured to me that they might not be safe to eat ??

Ho wlong can you safely freeze meat for before you should chuck it ?

Meat will keep for at least 6 months in a freezer

Good for ever if frozen .............. the meat in Scotts cabin in the Artic is still edible

Pete still as some Birds Eye Wooly Mammoth burgers in his deep freeze, he put them when the ice age ended !

Meat will keep for years if frozen and still not kill you, might be a bit revolting though, dont know what Iceland do to theirs but it must be **** when it goes in.

keeps a long time so your safe to eat the burgers providing they have thawed properly

They normally recommend 1 month on the packets - but that is just a ploy to make you buy more when you pull them out of the freezer for tea only to realise you've had them for months..

Isn't it recommended never to eat meat with 'freezer burn'..??
