The approx weight of a 7.5 x 18 Speedline GT1 Wheel fitted with a 225/35/18 tyre?

Searched the usual places for the info but can't find anything. Damn annoying when you are trying to get a price for postage!

Surely I'm not the only one that has tried to find out this info?

The wheel is 18.5 KG

Add about 5KG for the tyre and packaging and your there.

Good at guessing weights me everytime I lift a box I know straight away what it weights, nobody even bothers with the scales now theyve tried so many times to see if Im wrong

I have those very set of wheels (with 215/35/18 tyres) sitting in my garage - unfortunately don't have a set of weighing scales. One thing, there is no way one wheel weighs 18.5kg - more like 8.5kgs!

I don't have a set of scales either unfortunately well not ones that will weigh a wheel

So, the figure on that site must mean with a tyre?

when posting 2 sets of wheels and tyres this year, I factored for 10kg per wheel, total 40kg package, via parcelforce, cost was just over £50 for each 4 wheels. They collect from your address, with labels made up to stick on. I just wrapped them by securely sticking some cardboard onto the wheel face, and both sets were delivered undamaged.

Bathroom scales. If the wheel won't stand on there on its own, 1) weigh yourself, then 2) weigh youself holding the wheel. Subtract 1 from 2) and voila - wheel/tyre weight. Won't be accurate, but if you're only after the approximate weight...

You may be surprised.... A big bag of dog food (pedigree complete) weighs 15Kg, one of my STI alloys with 225/45/17 Potenzas defintatly weighs more than the dog food.

Wonder if gold wheels are heavier?

Thanks Guys, reckon it's going to be too costly. Oh if anyone is wondering how much an avon 225/38/18 ZZ3 weighs. 9.89 kg and is approx' 0.0973 m3.
