Question Recommendations for DVD player repairers?

I've got a sick Sony DVD player - DVD's freeze after about 30 mins of playtime.

Can anyone recommend a good repairer for DVD players whom I can send it to?

If it was only a DVD player, I'd bin it, but its the DAVS550 with Integrated 5.1 amp so gotta be worth getting repaired? (from reading on other forums, seems lots of the older Sony DVD drives had problems with freezing)

Any ideas?

I used to work at a sony repair centre, I take it you have already ran a good quality cleaning disc through it? If not i would recomend you take it back to a sony centre as in most cases they will replace the entire drive unit if cleaning does not work.

ps it should not be too dear even with them.
Good luck anyway.

Sorry mate its really not worth reparing...

Lidl, have been doing the Targa DVD wqith inbuilt 5.1 decoding and outputs dts decoding and mp3 progressive scan etc...

£19.99 thats got to be cheaper than a repair
