Bought it at the weekend for some easy listening but haven't got around to putting it on yet as I also bought Children of Bodom's "Are You Dead Yet?", System Of A Down's "Hypnotize", Rammstein's "Rosenrot" and something else which I've forgotten!

Definitely NOT on my Christmas list. Got Permission to Land bought for me and I don't think I have ever listened to it (I blame Virgin for overkill) either. Shame, its good to see new British rock acts but this ain't one for me!

Decided to give it a whirl on the way home from work last night...
Got to track 6 which had some kind of scottish theme to it and thought "this is utter ****" and took it off. Not a single track of the 6 I listened to did anything for me.
Someone I don't like will get this as a Christmas present.

I'm not sure about this one yet, it is certainly more "cheesy" than the first album, seems that they have taken a lot more time trying to get it "right" but I think that it may have lost a certain something because of this. However I love the lyrics, there are some fantastic lines, " A coach load of mutes would have been talkative chaps", that could only be the Darkness really
Really looking forward to seeing them live next year, they are really excellent if you wantg a "fun" gig.
