The other half has asked for one of these for his Christmas box. Any ideas on the best and rough idea of price. Thanks

whats the difference between tomtom 300 and TomTomOne? - Given that the 300/500/700 only came out about 3-4 months ago it seems strange to release a completely new version - just wondering if my 300 has some fatal flaw now, like sending me up the wrong side of the motorway or summink

Was going to go for a tomtom but too bulky and heavy. Ended up with a navman 520 which iv downloaded the speed cam locations onto and its a reasonably thin rectangle shape.
good bit of kit at 280ish

This is the deal breaker for me, I know the 700 does and I know the 300 is bluetooth compatible for the SE K750I but not if I can use it as a hands free?
Thanks

I think its great and very small. It sits on a windscreen mount just above my single gauge pillar mount an is so small it doesnt look out of place or distracting but still has a very clear and bright screen. It lacks some of the features of the more expensive units but all I wanted was something that I could type an adress into and it would tell me turn by turn how to get there which this does perfectly (so far). Also has the added bonus of being able to run on AA rechargable batteries so no need for wires everywhere!(6 hours on 2 ni-mh rechargables)

Still seems strange though having a voice telling me when to turn and so on, but so much easier than squabling with the wife over map reading!!!

All Satnav is 20% off in Argos at the moment. Tomtom ONE will be a good bit of kit if it's anything like my GO. My sister has the Garmin i3 and that's also a good bit of kit, but no touchscreen. You can put the pocketgpsworld speed camera database on both.
