Krug watches are the ones sold in service station car parks - i bought 1 a few years ago, the guy had different models and wanted £100 for this chrono 1 i got. I told him i only had petrol money on me and in the end i got it for £30.
Nice looking but when the battery goes it'll probably fall apart when the back comes off
Oh and you usually get a plastic tag on with £295 embossed on it?

Had a punt.... 99p on a '£625' watch. Cheaper than a new battery..

Yup, their cheap chinese made tat, worth a tenner at most - just costume bling - you'll find all the extra dials on the face dont do anything, and the thing weighs about the same as a piece of paper.

Oh, and all the people that sell them say the rrp is hundreds of quid.

The seller cant lose in fact, as the inflated postage price is more than they paid for the watch, so they make a profit whatever the sale price is.

What people fail to suss is that proper expensive watches don't have plastic tags with the RRP on them. Invariably, they have little paper tags on with the price handwritten on the underside, so you have to go into the shop and ask them.

I think Mike has it spot-on. No watch that's actually worth anything is advertised as 'massive discount off RRP' like that. I also think you'd struggle to spend £625 on any quartz watch if you tried - expensive watches tend to be mechanical.

Not true always. My wife's got a Cartier Tank Francaise which was ~£1700 and is quartz. I'd want mechanical for that price, but there's no arguing with women.

AND THEY ARENT SOLD BY DODGY BLOKES IN THE PUB, AT MARKETS OR ON GARAGE FORECOURTS !

Plus - anyone who knows anything about decent watches will take one look and go 'cheap tat'.
