Unhappy Ebay Suspension?!

Hi,

received an email from Ebay because my dad had bidded on my item when he should have clicked buy-now! They've suspended me for 7 days but just wondered:

Anything I can say/do to get them to reinstate me sooner?

Sent countless emails and the "I'll accept Ebay policies" statement but no joy so far!

There are a lot of spoof emails purporting to be from ebay - if the mail doesn't contain your user name then just delete it.

I am missing something here? Why would your Dad bid on your item or click Buy-it-Now anyway? Sounds like shill bidding to me.

Why would your dad use the Buy It Now to buy your item ? if he wanted it, cancel the auction and sell off Ebay - if you just wanted to end the auction, then end it yourself.

Sounds a bit like your dad was shill bidding for you to get the price up !, in which case you deserve to be suspended, or just banned completely.

Hi,

Dad's a newbie to Ebay - he wanted to buy something from the store so I told him to just go to the store and do it that way. I get somebody else to run the Ebay store for me and it's easier if everything come's thru that rather than orders from all directions!

He ended up bidding and therefore the suspension! I don't think i deserve to be penalised for the mistake of somebody else, particularly when I've gone out of my way to make sure I do everything the way it should be done!! I realise that it contravenes the Ebay policy but all I want now is the reinstatement of my account!

If you've only been given a 7 day suspension I'd just live with that - it'll take longer than that for Ebay to faff around answering emails etc....
