Asuuming I own a field with no services or utilities running through it, how far into the earth do I own ?
Serious question by the way, but with no real reason behind it

I'd guarantee to find the word "reasonable" somewhere in the answer.
Going the other way, people have successfully sued for low-flying aircraft, but you can't ask flyover fees from satellite owners.

well in theory yes (well you would own a sliver) but as this is a pointless question and even an even more idiotic answer by yours truely, then I hardly think we would find something to disaprove my theory
Unless we meet a core engineer who has first hand experience
(sorry it's friday and I feel a muppet posting tendancy around now )

If you want to mine, explore or basically dig a large hole, then you need a license by the look of it.
People are still applying for rights to mine coal in various parts of the country - I'm not quite sure how it works, but I suspect some companies are placing very long term bets that coal will come back into fashion at some point. If you sat on top of big reserve and have the rights to mine it, then you'll be quids in.

Don't you know ANYTHING?
God, you probably think all the different colours of it are equally dangerous to Superman as well, don't you?
Anyway, everyone knows there are FAIRIES at the Earth's core!
Haven't you read "Artemis Fowl"?
Not very well-educated generally are you? Don't know about kryptonite, don't know about fairies......!!!

I should start digging now though, 'cos it'll probably take you, errm, well at least a week I should think! LOL
Stop press: OH says yes, you would actually, kind of!
Apparently, you would pass the centre (at about 500mph!), continue out to the other side & then fall back to the centre again, where you would oscillate back & forth like a pendulum, until you slowed down & finally stopped, where you would indeed remain hovering in the centre!
(If the magma wasn't there that is! LOL)

I used to be a Civil Engineer and remember covering this at Uni. In theory you own the earth all the way down to the Core.
By the way, you do NOT own the airspace above you. This is the property of HM Govt. Outside of the Controlled airspace corridors (ie. everywhere where the airliners dont fly), it comes under the control and responsibility of the HM Forces.
