Just upgraded to a new phone and want to unlock my Sharp GX30 so I can use it with my old sim on pay as you go. It is locked to vodafone at the mo, does anyone know how I can unlock it with out paying the £15 charge that people seem to want to do it for you?

Pretty sure you're gonna have to pay m8. Can't be done by code like a nokia, but £15 does seem a bit steep. Most of the small dodgy mobile shops near me charge about a fiver normally.
