Best Sat Nav for the money?
Sorry this question has probably been asked loads of times!!
I'm a total novice in the area but key to me would be:
1. Easy to fit/take off
2. Easy to use
3. Easy to see with excellent voice controls
4. ease to update
5. Potential to load European maps
I dont think any system is worth over £500 (I dont need it professionally) - so any under this price appreciated
Thanks

I have a ****ty Sony Ericsson T630, but can upgrade to the 750i for free (or probably a number of other phones (even the wife said she would be embarassed to have to use either of these phones!!) - but hey calls are free for me.
910i is probably ideal as this has a large screen but I cant get that for free through work
As the lower modelled phones are not pda's dont think I can go that route - but might actually be cheaper to pick up one these second hand?

I went to the website link - ta
What does it mean by phone compatability?
I have the T630 - but what does that mean to me?
£370 sounds a reasonable price and I guess I could get it cheaper if I shopped about
Rgds

Yeah the screen is pretty good. there are a few other phones that you can use as well. Only downside is the voice commands use the phone speaker. it is clear but if you have the radio on you have to watch the volume.
could be an option. The P910i is being replaced soon so may be some good deals to be had.

OK it seems you are looking at a portable device, so a dedicated in car system is out (on price as well).
TomTom is well regarded and provide solutions for some phones, for PDAs and also in their own dedicated box, the TomTom Go. The Phone and PDA solutions obviously appeal as it is reuse of a device, the TomTom Go benefits from having a slightly bigger screen and louder speaker (generally).
If you go down the PDA route, then look at Navman, the misses has one, and although I don't like it, she prefers it to my TomTom - guess it's just a matter of taste. Also look at solutions by Garmin and such.
The other alternative is to go for a GPS based tracker system (used to be DanTrack but think they are Matrix now). Which they can hook up an O2 XDA to, so it's all integrated, very neat and no visible satnav receiver.
