Special delivery - lost the slip!
Sent something special delivery about two weeks ago and the person meant to be receiving it had just said that nothing has turned up!
I cant find the slip they give you for proof of postage, will the post office still have a record of this (via his name and address and date when it was sent) that can be traced or am I buggered?

Are you sure someone was in to sign for it? May be it's languishing at his nearest delivery office. IIRC it will be returned to you if no one asks for it.
When you post it the PO peel off a tag and put this in a book so if it's not a busy PO perhaps they might run through the stickers for that day? I think there are posties on here who can give you proper info!!
