the BD or the BDX?

If you're thinking about the NEW Samsung that is blowing everyone away - it is the BDX you want to get.

Oh, and the best deal I've found so far is £850 all in - now does anyone know where you can get a good stand for one????

The BD/BDX are one & the same as far as I can tell (both have freeview built in). People are reporting that the cardboard box says BDX but the set is BD.

The B is the model without freeview.
Ebuyer have the LE32R41BDX for £840.

Have the 26 with Freeview, its ok on the proper Sky (Scart) feed but crap on the aerial, the colours drop in and out, I think its down to the signal not the set being faulty, otherwise very pleased with it. Make sure the source is on EXT1.

I have the non freeview 26". Only cost me £540 and I'm well impressed. My TV picture is rf pumped in from Sky/Analog and not great as a result. XBOX at 720p and prog scan DVD via component is terrific though.

Haven't seen any LCD or Plasma panel that are good at handling cr@ppy analogue feeds

Is there any difference between the LE32R41BDX and LE32R51BDX panels??

Just deciding whether to go with the Samsung or a Sony one myself.

Just discovered that the '51' model is the same techincally, but the appearance is slightly different than the '41'. It's only sold in the Dixon group of stores too.

And you probably wont either, but you said it yourself, the problem lies with the CR@PPY Analogue feed....

edited coz I heard they were cr@p (supplier that is, not the telly)

Homecinematv.co.uk and waratah seem to get a good rep and both sell the set for <£870

Well, got the LE32R41BDX now and WOW!!!!!!! Fab telly.

From what some people on avforums say, I was expecting to be disappointed with the freeview & sky performance....but not at all...dunno if they've got duff sources or duff tv's, but the picture on mine is TOP NOTCH! (and I'm a fussy so & so!).

From a normal viewing distance, it looks 100% fine to me! I think some people with 32" tellys are just sitting far too close - ie, about 30cm away....you just don't watch tellys that big from such a close distance surely!!

Got mine from waratah.co.uk...service was top notch, and highly recommended and probably the cheapest on the net too...
