Default Views K700i or V3 Razor or

Just had a letter from our phone supplier - upgrade time.

Nokia 6230i
6101
6170

or

K700i

or

Motorola V3

2 questions

1) K700i vs V3 (have 6230i so know that)

2) ebay prices for any of them

V3 IMHO

Are they really still trying to flog the K700i? It's been superseded by the K750i.

if you want a 'stylish' slim phone the V3, otherwise ring them up and haggle for a free K750i.

Deffo haggle for a K750i, i have one and they are superb.

Incidently my best mate has a V3, and i can tell you it is sh!te. The K750i is much better in every area.

Go for it, and let us know if you get one, my contract is up for renewal in a few months and i want to know what im gonna be able to get out of them if i battle hard.

I have just sold my Vertu Ascent and got the V3 - good phone, feels a little cheap and the text message system is annoying, but all things that one gets used to I guess

Hi Puff

My partner has a V3 and it is fab, battery lasts her around a week and menu's are easy and logical and a nice bit of design to boot. Get the Rzr Noir it looks the bollox. Comes with a nice plain leather case and wired earpiece

I have a SE P901 which i love but the v3 is easier to use day to day.

My wife has a SE 750i and I'm very impressed with it.

I would have one if I wasn't so obsessed with Smartphones!

BTW, the M5 to Exeter felt much quicker than the A303, cheers!

V3 - took a little getting used to (I've had nokia's since the 1610!!) The software suite takes a little getting used to as well but once it's up and running it's dead easy.

My only niggle is I can't find a search function for the phone book so it takes a while to scroll through the numbers

I may be misunderstanding you, but to find a number, it's the same as any Nokia, you just type in as many letters of the name as you like, i.e. L or LUC etc?

No it doesn't

using your example

Press L and the L's come up

then press U and then the U's come up not LU's

Also the other complaint I have is that you can't search for a number whilst on a call.

Other than that its still a great phone

£2900 plus £200 for case.

It was on the "for sale" board a week or so back

I've just got me a 6230i and it's a fab little phone. Dead easy to use - takes pics, videos etc. Great golf game on there and as easy to use as any of the other Nokias I've ever owned.

Depends if you're looking for a phone or a gadget factory!

Either phone would be a step down from the 6230i

Puff,

I have a V3 & the g/f has the 750i.

Apart from the 750i having a much better camera 2megP as opposed to the 1/2 meg V3 and the 750i has removeable mem stick, I find the V3 is a better allround phone IMHO

Is the W800i just the same as the K750i but with a bigger memory card and a 'walkman' button ?

It also has a different head phone socket I think. But that's about it.

Default V3

I have the V3 - I must have a different phone from you. I hate it.

1. The text messaging is utterly infuriating - needing multiple pointless button presses.

2. the battery life - if you talk on it - is appalling regardless of its standby time - I easily wipe it out in a days travel - much worse than my last phone - a three year old Nokia.

looks great - but not nearly good enough for a modern phone - I'm probably going to chuck it and get a nokia again

Flash & Flex the V3 to the latest firmware.

Mine does videos now, and is much quicker than when I first got it.

I deal with phones day-in, day-out (as an investigator) and the best phones we're getting through have to be the 6230i's - as a bar, but as a clamshell it's still the V3. IMHO of course.

Yes a 750i + dayglo Scoobynet orange case + W button + different music player +512meg + funky earphones (lots of bass for those who like their dugga boom dugga boom music) + Ripping/transfer software.

Mine works fine - you can't be pressing the buttons quick enough...don't look at the screen between key presses.
