whats the best mobile phone to get? :)
been advised i can have ANY phone free, but after seeing/playing with the "amazing" nokia 8800 i dont like it (1.5 hrs talk time etc.) ive ordered a nokia 9500 but i think ive changed my mind. they recomended the xda2i but i want a phone that looks/sized like a phone. not all that into the d500/600 look.
any ideas?

Sony Ericsson's are a piece of p!ss to text on. I changed from one to a nokia(my first one) and i'll never get another nokia as long as i live. Had nothing but trouble with it. I dont use a phone for business more of a fun thing and the sony ericsson is perfect for it. i'm getting the W800i next week

Had the D500, I didnt like it :-( gave it to the wife. For texting I havn't found anything as fast or as good as Nokia 6230. Anyone know why Nokia are making HUGE phones now? Dont they realise men cant carry them in there pocket?

I've just taken delivery of an i-mate Jam and it's the nuts (IMHO )
Runs windows mobile, got a 1GB SD card in it, so it's now loaded with albums and games, fcucking fantastic handwriting recognition, ever so slightly smaller than the SE P900 it has replaced, but with a far better battery life.
...oh, and you can make phone calls on it too.
Do NOT get a RAZR. Got one of those at the same time and it's the biggest (smallest?)pile of ****e I've ever flipped open. Slow, clunky interface, useless buttons, etc. Looks good, but that's about it.

err - what do you want to use it for? What is most important to you in a phone. That may well help you match up. Chances are, my priorities are not the same as yours.

Also check out the TomTom web site, they may give a list of phones they support which may give you a ready made short list.
