Puzzle for you lot
3 blokes are sitting watching the match on t.v. when the t.v. blows up.they really want to watch the match so they decide to club together and buy a new t.v.,they have £10 each (£30)so off to dixons they go.when they get there they find a t.v. on offer for £30 and decide to buy it at the counter they pay the salesgirl the £30 and as they are leaving the manager reminds the salesgirl that the t.v.is reduced a futher £5,the lazy salesgirl cant be bothered to work it out properly and decides to give the men £3 back and keep £2 herself.so that means the men paid £9 each for the t.v.(£27)the salesgirl kept £2 making it £29.so where did the £1 go ?

The three men paid £9 each = £27, MINUS the £2 the girl nicked = £25, there is no £1 spare, the total paid was £25, PLUS the £2 she nicked PLUS the £3 change = £30.
Still, that's what you get for buying from Dixons.

There isn't a £1 missing ( I think )
The three men initaly pay £30 but get given £3 back by the sale girl ( So they each £9 each ) leaving £27 from the original to go into the till of which she keeps the £2 difference for herself and the correct ammount of £25 goes in the till

problem is, it give a scenario which is easily worked out, but then it tries to trick you with mathmatics that have nothing to do with it....

The TV costs £27 as that's what the chaps paid. SIMPLE.
If the 'advertised price' or till or whatever takes £25 then the other £2 goes to the salesperson or on the floor or in the bin, whatever.
Who cares about how much they paid anyway, I merely wanna know where I can buy a new TV for £30!

I first heard it about 20 years ago about 3 men getting a hotel room... LOL didnt sound so bad then but 3 men going for a hotel room is a little on the dodgy side if you ask me LMAO
