Default Paypal

Got a problem guys and Im a bit lost, Ive bought many things off ebay before and always pay for them instantly via paypal... stuff costing £90 has gone through with no problems too. So now we've seen something we need and need it for the weekend. the seller has agreed to send it next day delivery, great, so weve done a buy it now but paypal wont let us pay for it, something about reaching a limit and need to set up a DD with them now if we want to use it anymore WTF!!!! it could have warned us. so its gonna take me 3-5 days to put money in the paypal acct and then Ive got to send it to the seller who will have to post the goods, which will be useless come the weekend if theyve not arrived.

any ideas on how I can get round this? Thanks, a very mad Davegtt

Why not ask someone on here to PayPal the guy £40 and you transfer back to them?

is the limit a monthly, annual limit or is it just when youve spent that much you have to do something else.
paypal make enough money just running a website.

If I have no funds in my paypal account it just automatically charges to the credit card I've registered with them.

You have £500 spending limit. Once this limit is reached you have to verify your account.

why dont people do all the verification from day one?? I did, and like someone said, if there are no funds it takes the money from my credit card. No limits for purchases or withdrawals that I know of

Dont you need to verify DD details by them putting tiny amounts of money in your bank account over a period of about a week?

yeah the DD's take a few days.

Even without being verified it will take money from your credit card. That's why so many people don't do it as they think as long as the CC details are OK they can spend.

I verified, logged into to my credit card account online an hour later and it showed the transaction containing the code you need to verify. Job done.
