I'm moving to Spain next month and am intending to drive my little Eunos Roadster (MX-5) over there and running around in it for a few months before coming back to the UK in February for a week or two when I may attempt to sell in readiness for the summer.

I'm able, under Spanish law, to keep the car in Spain for 6 months without having to officially import it so this would be fine.

However, I won't have a UK address when I move to Spain (though I could use a relatives if necessary for this purpose) so would like to register the car to my address in Spain - is this possible/allowed at DVLA? I'd still be conforming to the vehicle registration as it's taxed until next April anyway.

Unfortunately not. Youll have to use a relatives/friends address or failing that an accommodation address.
