Was gonna say B&Q 'til I read the last couple of words. I got mine from there a few years back and bought 3 when they discontinued them and reduced them to half price. Used the last one last week as they are quite unreliable, but excellent security.

I'd suggest speaking to an alarm/security company or an electrician whom may be able to recommend a system which either slaves off an existing PIR light or a standalone system.

I don't think you'll get one that would link to a house alarm as such.... but you might be able to get one that turns a lamp on in the house when it comes on outside...??

Screwfix do a stand-alone mains PIR that can be used to switch security lights (up to 2000W), and also trigger an internal chime, and/or an internal light when it activates.

Voltek (www.voltek.co.uk )make a controller unit, which uses seperate PIR(s), and internal sounder as an optional extra (RS1 - remote sounder). Using standard floodlights (or any light you want really).

Few other companies make them too

I usually get my security stuff from here: www.gardinersecurity.co.uk

online catalogue - towards the end of the intruder section IIRC
