You pop an item in for an auction. The bid increments are 50p. All the bids that you are seeing are going up in 50p, then someone manages to win the auction with an increment of only 1p !!
How do they manage this?? Time and time again you see your item for sale at say £12.50 and then in the last few seconds when there is a bidding frenzy someone wins it with £14.01
Anyway, at least this time they were international, and forget to get a postage quote before bidding

Aye, that must be it...hate it when that happens. Especially when you lose something that you were after just cos they bid 1p more
Am going to to have to start and bid in 52p increments

Scary moment on ebay the other day:
40 seconds to go, just been outbid at £9.52 so decide to go for a quick £10.05 and had decided I wasn't going any higher - well **** me do I not rush & without checking put my maximum bid in as £1005!!!!!!!!!!! :0
Luckily, the winning bid was £10.51 so I escaped lightly - imagine if someone else had done the same as me and put in £1001!!!!!!!!!!!!
Phew!
