Gas boiler service contract - who do you use?
My British Gas Homecare contract has just come up for renewal and think there might be less expensive cover out there thats just as good so thought i'd ask here.
I have central heating cover and pipes and drainage for £21 a month and includes an annual boiler service. Not exactly steep I know but i'm not paying over the odds if there is similar cover for less money.

This covers home emergencies like burst pipes, blocked drains, electrical faults, heating & hot water supply problems. So the only thing I'd need to cover is an annual service on my heating system which defo won't cost me the equivalent of 12x£20.20-£9.99 = £232.41!!!!

I would be grateful if you could all carry on paying for the British Gas Service Cover. This is because I have it and since moving last year I have had Britisg Gas out to my combi boiler to fix it on 5 different occasions, and each fixing has involved 2 trips. The latest fixing 6 weeks ago we had heating (it was hot then) and no hot water.
They are coming on Wednesday for the annual service however we now have no control over the hot water temperature (its on maximum irrespective of the setting) and the heating doesn't work. So I suspect several more trips.
This is of course all covered by the service care contract at no additional charge to me. However I do need lots of people to subsidise my cover so please don't desert British Gas!
