Default Hifi people help please.

We're currently living in a rented house.
I can't bring my main system from our other house.
I am so missing decent sounds, so have bought a Teac Reference 300 system, CD and DAB/FM tuner with Monitor Audio S5 speakers.
Thing is I now need to buy speaker cables.
How much do I spend? Do I biwire?
Thinking of QED Silver Anniversary, Chord Carnival Silver, Supra Rondo.
Any ideas?
A cable supplier suggested Chord Rumour non biwired.

Hmm, silver cables are a bit OTT for a Teac Reference 300. Any of the QED 79-strand or multistrand-style cables will do. Maplins do some clones of them dirt cheap, which are fine.

If your speakers are biwirable (i.e. two sets of terminals, usually with some busbars to connect them when you single wire them), then you should biwire them. Did it years ago on a pair of Tannoy 605s and they were much better than single wired.

Just use some thick multistrand for now, and keep as short as needed. you really dont need anything expensive for this setup.

Biwiring isn't all its cracked up to be. Also, QED Silver Anniversary has a very clean and crisp treble but you lose a lot of bass so it might not suit your system.
