Default FAO parents of teenagers

Have you found it difficult to understand your child once they hit teenage?
I am going through this at the moment.my 13 yr old girl has changed quite a fair bit.Specially her behaviours. Her response to kisses and cuddles, moods, reaction to different situations etc.I have had my son going through this too but i think boys react a bit differently than the girls.

I understand hormonal changes are a massive shock to human body but its a shock to the parent too to hack.
Recently there was a bit of a thing over staying out after it gets dark.
I know there will be more of this on its way but i just wanted to share this with some of the parents here that dont you miss their childhood when they are at this age? I miss that affection, cuddles, kisses and all so much!

My teenage brothers are staying with me for a week. I think they've managed 3 actual words between them since tuesday, otherwise they communicate in grunts and the occasional scowl.
