DS is right too. Could be a good(ish) film script though...

DaVinci code is a fictional thriller written around the myth of the Holy Grail. Its all action, murder mystery page turning stuff. It sold in huge numbers and was enjoyed by millions of people. Successful enough for hollywood to throw big money at it and create a film based on it.
Sort of book you'd take on holiday or stick on your iPOD.
Personally speaking, I found the next book in the series more enjoyable - "Angels & Demons"

In the immortal words of the Holy Moly Rules of Life (possibly the best and most useless website you'll ever come across): "Everyone has a great novel in them. Except Dan Brown"

If the film is as bad as the book then God help us. Repetitive plot and reader patronised by clumsy explanations and signposts throughout; one-paced, no tension, laughable dialogue, one dimensional characters - all of whom you simply detest, and shockingly badly written. A formula for a box office smash hit, no doubt.

Here come all the book experts again, just like music, food, films and cars, books are a preference thing.
I thought DVC was an excellent book, nice bit of fictional thriller, and at the time someone on here said to read "Rule of four" instead as it was much better. Well thats what i'm reading now and half way through its just some boring drivel about some American college students with more "yankisms" in than i'd care to mention.
