Useless Aids to Driving ......
There is some discussion over on ScoobyNet General about Sat.Nav. being worse than a map .............. in other words a useless aid.
It is generally accepted that the Scooby crowd have more than their fair share of useless gadgets - the IC Water Spray springs to mind ....
So? whats your top 5 useless, so called Driving Aids??
1. Sat. Nav.
2. CockLinks
3. IC Water Sprays
4. Change Gear NOW! Warning Lights
5. and, yes, it just has to be there hasn't it??? .... the BRIGHT SWITCH!!
I admit to having number 5 .... but I had no choice, honest!!!
Over to you ......................

I have to say my sat nav is extremely useful. Even with a menu system in Japanese and all place names displayed in Japanese, it tells me where I am. I can then cross reference with my English language road atlas of Japan and get to where I want to be.
An English language satnav would be more useful again. The systems here allow you to enter the telephone number of the destination, it then looks that up on DVD and plots your route. As most roads/streets do not have names, getting to the correct place is a pain without satnav as you have to stop and ask. Even the locals need to do this without satnav.
