PAYPAL - How do I know the cash is coming?
Very sorry to have to post this up here but couldn't find the answer in PAYPAL or E-bay....
I use Paypal to buy stuff off E-bay quite regularly, no probs.
Now I've sold an item in E-bay, and the buyer has sent an e-mail to me stating that he has paid the funds to my Paypal account. (Done this morning apparently).
Question: How do I know this? What can I do to check it in Paypal? Or do I have to wait a couple of days?
Sorry, but this is the first payment in I've had I really haven't a clue what happens.
Cheers!!! John

Paypal should email you saying payment received....
log into your paypal account and it should tell you....
Only done this myself last week for the first time. Funny that buying off ebay paypal can take the cash from your acct straight away to pay for something yet when they have your money from being paid it takes up to 5 working days to send to your bank acct which you have to do manually.... cheeky gits...

yeah it will show on your balance in Paypal, minus wot they charge you for the pleasure, but don't post it out until you see the cash in there

One more thing then... If it's in my Paypal account, is it not in my bank account too? How do I get at the money? Do I need to transfer it my account?

Payment from account to account is instant- its the withdrawing funds to your account that takes up to a week.

Its also possible that the funds can be removed from your paypal account if the card is later found to have been stolen. (I have heard of this happening 10plus days after the transaction). IMHO if you are dealing in large sums its better to insist on a cheque. (That will also save you the 3.4% fees or whatever they are now).
