letdown

As per the title. My new flat is very near the main route and since I have never been I was hoping for some do's and dont's !

Any tips ideas...where to stands where not to stand ??

I live quite close to there too - good place to stand is Portabello Road crossroads - (at the far end away from Harrow Road) - the procession goes right past there - unless it's now moved to Hyde Park???

Some really good food stalls etc. are set out there - only real tip is not to be out when it gets dark (no real point then anyway, as the official music stages will have shut by then - although I can still hear hard core reggae when I'm back in Maida Vale at 4 in the morning...)- as that's when the monsters come out.... Lots of gangs start to fight etc... But during the day there's a really good atmosphere and it's quite family orientated, and heavily policed, so quite safe until dark!

Thats sound like what I had heard ! I live near Chepstow Road so will probably watch it there....Red Stripe in hand !!
