Are there any decent Bluetooth headsets?
Lost my Sony Ericsson HBH 602 which was no great shakes as it kept losing the Bluetooth connection during calls [HOW annoying?], wasn’t comfortable and battery life was very short. So got a Jabra 250 yesterday but this is worse! Sound quality is extremely crackly on it and you have to have a cradle to charge it – little point having the in car charger if you leave the cradle bit at home. So it’s going back.
Anyone know a good un?

Now have an O2 Blue which seems OK at first (have only had a couple of weeks now so don't want to sing praises too much!). Call clarity is pretty good and it comes with pretty much every adapter, charger and lead already in the box, which makes a nice change.

I'd like to know if anyone makes one that is comfortable enough to wear for more than an hour. My Sony headset makes my ear really hurt and is especially bad when I wear my driving glasses as well.

I have a Nokia HS-11W and it's a different design to ones I've seen before and is really comfy and has an exellent battery life
Have had it about 3-4 months and no probs so far.

If you had a decent through speaker handsfree kit you'd be no worse off anyway, (assuming you have a decent car speaker system).
So lets get this straight, you drive a convertible BMW, you wear a headset and a Ferrari t-shirt and ill fitting jeans!!
Game, set and kin match!

As for crackles, mine does sometimes but mainly when I'm near my laptop - supposedly it's the wifi stuff that interferes. Then again we should all expect more interference with everything going wireless ...

I've got a Plantronics M3000 which is fine with my 6230. Battery life isn't great if you leave it switched on all the time but no issues with call quality.
{Edit}
I say not great on battery but the box says max of 200 hours stand-by and 8 hours talk. My "not great" comes from having a good ol' corded mic / ear piece on my old phone.

As for car kits, no need to drill anything these days. You get yourself a set of cables that allow you to use the front speakers for the phone and a 'no holes mounting bracket'. Then Bob's your fathers bruv ..... innit .... :-)

I use the Nokia HS-4W :
Very reliable and the battery lasts for ages (I usually charge it up once a week, but don't use it all day continuously). You can also charge it up using a standard Nokia phone charger.

I've got a Logitech one and think it's very comfortable even as I wear glasses
It's what they now call a Mobile Pro Headset bluetooth one
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...CONTENTID=9473
It can go into standby mode and lasts for ages and ages (apart from if you've a Nokia 6230 unless there's been a fix issued as it stays in "live" condition all the time but still has good battery life)
The noise cancelling boom works well as family say they can't hear any background / road noise if I ring home from the car
