Mobile Phone tech question (sort of)
mate of a mate ordered a phone (D500)....it arrives crushed!
tells O2 who say sorry and send a reply sticker to slap on the box and return it.....beofre that happens though a new one arrives. Works perfect.
8 months on.......if he repairs the D500 (new LCD's are now only £25) and uses it will it:
a) be fine and he has a free phone
or
b) flash up at O2 that a phone they thought was KIA is back on the run and they will send the rozzers round to get it?

I did something very similar, but they eventually ended up charging me for the original phone, however they did allow me to send it back after I fed them a story about 'forgetting' to send it back when I should have done.
If you use a different sim card with the original phone, I don't see how they'd be able to trace the use of it.

Hey guy,
get the faulty one repaired and use it At worst cae the phone has been barred in which case it's a waste of time or it works fine. If you don't use it on the original network then you should be ok.
I work in mobile comm's and this wa fairly common occurence back in the day with Orange Same thing happened to me with an Orange Nokia 7110
