Ebay tips.
Is linking from the advert to your personal webspace a good idea as a way of allowing larger pictures for free?

What do you think.Saves 0.60p per pic.

Finally have you any advice for how to make a better advert.I always think most pics people put up are rubbish quality.
You could insert a URL without it being a link?

ME is the page that you have available to tell everyone about yourself and your products if you so wish.
You can't technically insert anything on your listing that would promote off eBay business. Loads still do however as eBay don't police it like they should nor do many people bother reporting them.
Decent pictures certainly attract a viewer initially but a decent description (and price) help to seal a sale.
Above all I reckon it's the title and subtitle because these are the first things you see clearly.
I have been experimenting with these for a while now. This is proven in the section I trade in but not necessarily the answer everywhere, especially those sections where hardly any listings have 1 word spelt correctly but still manage to sell!!
Having said the above, I am still amazed how some items from an awful advert, from a newbie, do sell, especially when they are dearer and clearly inferior to somebody who's experienced in selling a better, cheaper product.
I think some people just prefer the "market" mentality and would rather buy from a newbie because they'll feel a business would rip them off. (even though they are cheaper!!). Plus a lot of people don't look far and buy from the top of the page more often than not.
Obviously once you have an established name on somewhere like eBay then it makes a difference. You can price some things how you like (within reason of course) and it makes very little difference to sales.
The key has to be finding something that sells and making out that you know what you are selling from day one if asked a question (even if you don't), and then as time goes by you do know what it is you are selling and can even begin to bore yourself.

Chief - I wouldn't say what it is I sell.
At the end of the day eBay are more interested in revenue than policing as per their own policies. If they ended every listing that didn't comply fully then they wouldn't be doing themselves any favours as a business.
