Default Phone Hackers?

Hi, I'm writing on behalf of my cousin who's 11 and has a mobile. He's with o2 and on a pay & go sim. For the last couple of days he's recieved 3 texts from the number 84404 and for every text he recieved he has lost 3 pounds exactly from his credit. So he now has 95p left and it's a bit of a shame as he doesn't use his phone very often, and it's not fair that this company is doing this.
Anyway, i was just wondering if there is any way to stop this company from doing this?
Thank you in advance

A quick search pulls up that the '84404' number is used by Jamster/Ringtone King to charge their customers for wallpaper/ringtones/games etc.

I'd suggest looking at Ringtone King first, as that's what predominantly comes up.

a couple of things could have happened

he ordered a ringtone/game/picture.
and didn't know it works like that (co. sends 3 text msgs costing £1/£1.50 each)

somebody took his phone to make an order like that

or he has a game with a virus (something like mosquito)
i used to have one like that.
everytime i play a game it secretly sends a msg, to a rintone company and it charges me £1 everytime

ring o2 and get them to block premium content. what a lot of people dont realise is that these ring tone companies are subscription based, by ordering one you are consenting to a subscription of x number of ringtones a week.
