WARNING TO ALL HOLIDAY MAKERS HEADING FOR THE SOUTH WEST
I've noticed over the last three days an awful lot of mobile speed cameras and traffic cars parked on flyovers on the M4, M5, and the A30 all targeting vehicles heading west, i think there having a clampdown on speeding holiday makers the ones i've noticed everyday are on the A30 Okehampton exit, and the M5 just before the A30 turn off by Exeter, you have been warned.

Yep indeed, my snooper GPS thing went mad on the way to cardiff on the M4 (updated it last week). On nearly every bridge it went off, they must be using bridges to set up temp laser traps hmmmm.

Also beware if the A303/A30 route chosen. I can confirm that there were several vans on bridges, along with the usual Gatso's.
The vans are on the fast, clear straight sections.
Beware!

I would like to reiterate this warning.... the cameras are specifically targetting grockles dragging their sheds down onto our already clogged up roads. Go home. We don't want you here!

Thanks for the heads up, Im going to Truro on the A30 today, so will keep eyes pealed.
They dont have camera vans on the M5 as far as Im aware - maybe plod cars on bridges, but they arent really a problem unless youre going very fast!

BE WARNED, they are, the ones i saw on the M5 at Exeter (sorry can't remember which bridge) oh yes i can, about 3 miles before the A30 exit, are very sneaky, they have 3 cameras on tripods covering each lane, and the police car is further back behind the grass banks JUST ABOUT visible, please be careful.

Well the coppers won't pass up the chance to make lots of cash with such a big captive audience.
Wouldn't be so bad if those grockles brought some good manners with them would it ajm? instead of speaking to us as though we are yokels.

Speed cameras have to by law have some sort of warning, either signs on the road before hand, and/or a sign on the scamera van or whatever. Theres no warning signs at all on the M5 near the point, and no signs by these cameras. (only tiny little cameras too)

Thought that was only the fixed ones otherwise police holding handheld lasers would need signs too, defeating the object!
