Sorry we are talking about Robin Cook here? Just that someone mentioned integrity
Source Skynews.com
Obviously feel for his family. But as a Politician I cant feel anything sentimental like some can.
When his affair with his secretary was revealed, he told his wife he was leaving her while they were on their way to Heathrow at the start of their holiday.
Mr Cook's term as foreign secretary was marked by British interventions in Kosovo and Sierra Leone.
Sierra Leone proved controversial amid allegations that a British firm had supplied weapons to the supporters of the deposed president

She later wrote a book recounting his many affairs and accusing him of having a drinking problem.

Maybe he couldnt keep his dick in his trousers. Doesnt matter about that. Like you Im anti-adultery. If you dont want to be with someone leave/divorce/murder* them. Dont go sneaking around selling weapons to Sierra Leone.
* Maybe not but you get the picture

I didn't really like Robin Cook, apart from being a ginger he was an adulteror so IMO he's not someone i'd choose to be making policy in any capacity.
However, he did stand up to Blair before we went to war (rather than the bandwagon jumpers who started slagging Blair off afterwards); presumably on the strength of the intelligence reports the public weren't allowed to see - so he can't have been a complete **** I guess.

I expect phoney Tony will be making one of his "Princess Diana" type speeches soon saying how much he respected him etc. You know, the type with the long pauses and the puppy eyes.
Never liked him much myself but admired him for sticking to his principles over the Iraq war.

Considering his continuing opposition to the Iraq war, Tony B will probably be cracking open the bubbly tonight.
Fair comments about his philandering and slightly dodgy weapons deals (nothing that Jack Straw couldn't match, I'm sure).

What's worse is you 'know' that behind the closed doors they're going to be muttering something like 'thank heaven he's gone, oh bu-ger now we've got a by election we're not sure we can win' (or words to that effect).
Considering most of new labour weren't very nice about him since he stood up about the war (dont mention the war) it's a bit hypocritical to be nice about him now....but that's politics.

Well said F
Bravo it is very sad he died all of a sudden at the age of 59.
The guy stuck up for his views over Iraq war and resigned-it was very impressive.
My thoughts with his children and rest of the family

Oh, flippin eck, here we go, genetically it is very unlikely Moses is Ginger based on what I know about him and its not really worth getting into an argument about Scotland, I mean if you think about it, what we know as Scotland is the bit at the top of the island we live on that broke of the bigger bit we call Europe several Billion years ago, we decided this was to be known as Scotland a couple of thousand years ago, the other bits were given names as well and ever since we have been making a point of falling out for no particular good reason.
When somebody makes a disrespectful comment like that, they are not having a go at the piece of land at the top of the island we now call Scotland, they are having a dig at you trying to get a rise and you fell for it. I reckon when Scotland split from Europe along with the rest of the island, some people got stuck one side and some the other, even though they probably got along, as soon as it split they decided to go to war seeing as humans cant cope with borders of any kind.
I live in the bit at the bottom, nowadays called England, feel free to slag it off all you want.
