£9.60 to go across the severn bridge!!!!
I need to go over to wales in my van next week, and just checked on line how much it was £9.60!!!!!!!! Are they mad? Is it made from Gold and Diamonds?
I have been told that its free on the way back but there is nothing on the official website to confirm or deny, does anyone know?
Still can't get over the shock! £9.60! I only want to drive across it, not buy it!!!!

LOL, last time I went over I noticed it was free to get out of Wales...can't imagine why 
Last time I went over it cost £5 (or thereabouts £4.80 ) And even then I asked the toll bloke if it's ok to turn round and go back (He just grunted - must have heard that one a 1000 times ).

Yes, both Severn bridges are free going out of Wales.... although it would have been amusing if they had each been free in differenent directions, creating the world's largest roundabout!

£9.60 is van rate
car is still £4.80- bloody rip off......... spare a thought for the truckers- something daft like £20 or £30! If you have no cash, they will turn you round, send you over the little access bridge and send you back- they dont take cheque or card either, so make sure you have cash on you!
yes its free coming back into england on both bridges.
Watch for the the mobile cameras hidden behind the gantry in the 50 limit coming off the bridge-sneaky b*stards
Oh- and if you are coming from the north, or going past gloucester (m5), then nip down the back route, which is quicker (ish), more enjoyable, and FREE. I go there via the back route a couple of times a week, then come home via the bridge- thus saving me cash
