Sometimes its 4 weeks. Duval are 'TAG Heuer' in this context. Because my watch is an automatic rather than a quartz, it cant be serviced by a local jeweller.

My Tag didn't seem to agree with the Portugese swimming pool I took a dip in....
Watched moisture build up first
Moisture turned into droplet of discoloured yellow water.
Watch stopped
Now building up the courage to get it repaired. Not looking forward to the bill - anyone done this ?

I recently sent my Tag 2000 Auto to http://www.watchdoctors.co.uk/. This was for a service and recalibration, and replacement bezel mechanism as I'd broken mine doing some DIY and it was no longer clicky! I think it came to about £70 when the high street stores wanted around £120 for service ("because it's automatic, Sir") and then some extra on top for the bezel work!
Watch came back polished up nice and shiny after a couple of weeks. Very happy with the service and will use again. There's a comprehensive list of prices on the web site for standard services but you can always call them for clarification or specific prices on a piece of work (like I had to for the bezel price, or alternatively to ask them to get rid of Portuguese swimming-pool-wee-water )
Very contented TAG owner. Yes I think Breitling's are perhaps a bit nicer, but I'd rather buy a car for that money

Im sure that jewellers like Goldsmiths only forward the watches to Duval, who, as the concessionaire, service them. Different watches attract different charges, with low end 'Formula One' and '2000 Series' quartz watches being cheaper than 'Kirium' or '4000 Series' or 'SEL' automatics.

Yeah Rub it in
It was Goldsmiths Brent Cross if anyone else wants to avoid a mugging, they had it for 8 weeks, I think they also send it off to Duvals.

Groan, I paid over £200 for a battery and service on my Tag Kirium.
Although to be fair in 6 years that's all it's ever cost me, and it's had the granny smashed out of it at work as I wear it all the time.
And it was away with Tag for the best part of 2 months.
