Had a runnin with the boss 2day seems im not wanted and he told me to F off so guess im not going in 2mrw

anyone need a driver or labourer or tea maker whatever ?

just in case ur wondering i'm not that bad a persoon the boss just went off i one i couldnt beive it , maybe i shud go in 2mrw i dunno ?

My old fella tells me this all teh time at work but nothing has come of it yet ha ha

Make sure you go in tommorrow otherwise you will lose your right to what you are owed holiday pay etc.

Go and see him and if he thinks you shoudl leave then ask him if he wants to fire you in which case you might have a good case for a tribunal or (if your fed up) maybe give your written notice in!

Whatever you do dont just walk away - he might be ok with you tommorrow!

i know what u mean but this was not said funnily he meant ! he even asked me if i d like to hand my notice in NOW ? all this time and he couldnt give a cr*p,

i did do sumthing i shudnt have though was bored and mucking about with reverse buzzer on forklift (not just me) it a wire broke so it didnt beep but it was fized and all working fine, he said his part i said mine accepted responsibilty that should have been that but he got funny with me i mean what more can i say ? anyway i finished by in a joking tone "well you do get bored in this sh**hole sumtimes" and he went off on one ! I guess he loves the place ??

i spose he might be better with me 2mrw but i doubt it and tbh i dont wanna be around him anymore now and problem is i know for a fact theres no deliveries in the book for 2mrw/2day so im onna be stuck in the warehouse with him all day !

i only been there 10 mths he's been ok for most of them just the last few weeks he's been a right *** his attitude stinks to be frank but i and every1 else has been putting up with it but 2day i guess a lil bit of frustration came out but i didnt think i was that out of line with what i said only my opinion and i was joking unless of course you really do love yer job then thats diff.

Surely he can't just sack you for no reason, there are procedures that need to be followed.

If he does just sack you I would go to your local Citizen's Advice Bureau and find out about taking him to a tribunal. Far too many bosses out there think they can just get rid of people for no reason at all.

Have you got a written contract of any sort?

If it's the guy's company and you said that about it plus you deliberately damaged the fork lift, (thus making it a danger to people nearby), then he's probably right to have a go. If he's had attitude problems lately, didn't it occur to you that maybe he has problems and life is a tad tough on him at present? We all have stress and strife from time to time, no one is immune to it. Perhaps your actions just pushed him over the edge.

hi all thanks for the response , no i didnt go in 2day havin a calming down day for all concerned , i didnt break the forklift just was playin with it while we had a monet of doing nuthin', its not his company hes just the manager of this branch , he may have life problems but still i cant help that and TBH i have not been happy there for a while now so i guess we both got pushed over the edge , time to move on i think.

I think that not going in today was the wrong call. You've already said that you've not been happy there for a while, so surely you would have had nothing to lose.

If he is a manager and teh order book is empty then he could be getting S**t from powers that be that are above him, the truth is he is possibly stressed with it all - and for all you know his job could be on the line! sometimes people on teh shop floor think managers just sit on their fat ***** and do **** all and just go round bollocking people - not true! we get our fair share of sh*t too y'know.

Go in and explain that you like your job and dont want to leave, say that you were out of order p*ssing about and saying what you said, if he has anything about it he will acceptthjings and both of you need to move on, i dont know how old you are but when you are young i think most of us are guilty of farting about becasuse we get board.

If you stay give him youyr support and you'll find that (unless he's a complete d*ck) that when times are hard he'll support you as well!
