If you're talking loan rates then I bet you don't get it when you apply - they have some spurious get-out clasue along the line of your credit-score does not justify giving you the advertised rate. It pi**ed me off at the time but other than that they aren't bad, very easy to manage on-line and some nice facilities - don't however think that the "account alerts" are instantaneous - they take at least a day to get through to you.

I've been using them for savings for about 6 months now. All very simple, good website security, good interest etc. Helpdesk has the usual divvy idiots but to be honest most things can be done via the website anyway. I'd certainly use them for other products.

theyre pretty useless when things go wrong:

- dispute a transaction
- put in a claim using their insurance policy

other than that.....good website....great features, very easy to manage.

iirc cahoot is one of the only loans on the market that are variable.

look at all the options such as:

can you make extra payments without being penalised?

can you settle early?

can you make payment breaks?

can you defer the payments?

its worthwhilst looking around
