Lightbulb Who has a George Foreman grill?

What do you use it for.
Are they any good.
Is there anything else better,or has he cornered the market.

(saw an advert today, reduced to £14.99 at Argos)

sausages, burgers, any meat really
i even do bacon sometimes

normally i used to grill stuff, but the george is quicker (cos it cooks both sides) and cleaner, plus the fat rolls into a tray

I have, it's great

Does chicken really quickly. I did use it for bacon, sausages etc, but it dries them out too much so just grill them instead. Good for doing veg on as well. Loads more I use it for but my brain isn't working at the moment

It is definitley not one of those appliances I have bought and never use!!

Yes, I use mine almost daily. Great for salmon fillets and chicken breasts. I also make toasted sandwiches in mine, though they are only usually the cheese and tomato variety, don't think baked beans would be very good

I dunno if there's anything better as I love my George!

My recommendation is buy one and use it!

Moses, for an extra fiver, I'd rather get a George.

Good marinade for the George, keeps chicken breasts nice and juicy:

1-2 tablespoon(s) of extra virgin olive oil
Juice of 1-2 lime(s)
1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon of paprika

Marinade the chicken in the fridge for at least 1/2 hour, 1-2 hours better

Serve with rice or cous cous and a green salad.

We NEVER have preprepared food. Everything is from scratch in this house. I live on rice, pasta and cous cous though. And salads feature quite heavily too

we brought abig george a year or so ago... it's so rarely used, I'm not actually sure where it is...!!!!

Steak tended to be a bit tough, but the in-laws loved fish on it..
