No Ch5 or BBC4 on Digital Tv
Just installed a WinTV-NOXA-T card in my PC and connected it to a low-medium signal strength digital aerial. It picks up all the expected Freeview channels with perfect reception, except for Channel 5 and BBC4 which are not found at all by the autotune function. Any ideas what the problem is?
Google seaches show that I should be able to pick up all Freeview channels for my post code, 8 miles south of Oxford.

The digital channels are multiplexed together into a "mux" however in some locations there are several of these muxes and they may not all be coming off the one mast. This can lead to the strange situation where you appear not to be getting an almost random selection of channels because your reception is less than ideal for one of the masts that you need to see to get all the channels. In some cases turning the aerial to "split the difference" between the two masts can help and it can be worth asking around locally to see what everyone else gets, if someone says they get both then take a look at their aerial and see what they are using.

If the muxes are all off the one stick then it is possible that the position of your aerial is such that you are getting some cancellation problems which is resulting in the loss of the muxes you are missing. Moving the aerial about might help in this case.
It is also possible that the wiring is at fault as sometimes it can roll off in performance at the higher frequencies resulting in the loss of some muxes. This is also often a problem with analogue and people report that they get everything ok except for, say, C4, which is noisy. Almost always C4 will be the channel at the highest frequency and the losses are usually in the connections or the wiring, assuming the aerial is up to the job.
